We recommend flying into Santa Barbara Airport and then taking an Uber/Lyft to your hotel or renting a car. You can also fly into LAX and take the Santa Barbara Airbus up to SB. Traffic and LA makes LAX the secondary option, but please do what works best for you!

Guests should arrive by Thursday, if possible, to enjoy the welcome gathering and settle in before the Friday wedding. If you are flying in on Friday, please try to book an early flight so you can be at the Historical Museum for the ceremony by 4pm. Please keep in mind, most hotels have a 4pm check in.

Many guests will be staying at the Mar Monte in Santa Barbara where we have a block of rooms for guests to book. Please check out our accommodation page for hotel information and additional hotel suggestions in Santa Barbara. If you prefer to stay outside of Santa Barbara, Goleta offers plenty of accommodation and dining options within 20 minutes of the wedding venue by Uber/Lyft. You can also stay in Carpinteria if you prefer, but it is farther away from the weekend activities.

We recommend using Uber/Lyft to and from the airport as well as around town. There will be a few events throughout the weekend that are walking distance from the Mar Monte hotel as well. There is so much to see and do in Santa Barbara and the surrounding areas, so if you plan to extend your stay, or simply prefer the flexibility, a rental car is a great option. We recommend booking a rental car directly from the Santa Barbara airport. Please avoid driving yourself to the wedding unless you are the designated driver!

The wedding day attire is formal which includes mid-to-long dresses for women and suits for men. This is not a black tie event, please leave your gowns at home.

We are very sorry, but we are unable to extend the invitation to children unless they are in the wedding. We hope you understand and can still join us on our special day.

If you are extending your weekend stay, we recommend visiting Santa Ynez's amazing wineries. The best way to see the wine country and visit multiple vineyards in a day is by booking a tour bus that would pick up and drop off in downtown Santa Barbara. The wine coutry is about 45 min away by car. Check out the following wine tour bus companies: https://www.dodolimo.com/ https://winetours-santabarbara.com/ If you are staying for the weekend only, we recommend enjoying the tasting rooms in downtown to get a taste of the local wine scene.

October is a beautiful month in California and we are hoping for warm, sunny weather on our wedding day. It's always surprising to visitors how chilly it can be when the sun goes down or on cloudy days, so please bring layers and pack a jacket for the wedding night. While the chances are good we won't have rain, when it rains... it pours. Keep an eye on the weather a few days before you catch your flight so you can pack accordingly.
